Common questions

Do I have to connect my bank?

No, and you never can. Billpile only tracks the subscriptions and bills you enter yourself. That is the point: no bank login, no data sharing.

How do I get renewal reminders on my phone?

Open the app, then use the renewal calendar export in the full version. It downloads an .ics file you can open in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. Each subscription becomes an event with a reminder two days before it renews.

I paid but the full version is locked.

The unlock is saved in the browser where you paid. Make sure you are in the same browser and that private or incognito mode is off. If it is still locked, email us with your Stripe receipt and we will restore it.

How do I move my data to a new device?

On your old device, use Export backup (JSON) from the app. On the new one, use Restore backup and pick that file. Your items and your unlock come across together.

How do I import my existing list?

The full version imports a CSV with these columns: name, amount, cycle, next_renewal, and category. Export from your spreadsheet as CSV, then use Import CSV in the app.
